UWNZ Ambassador Michael Jones with UWNZ Chief Executive Don Oliver
Established internationally in 1887 and operating in New Zealand since 1975, our vision is to improve quality of life through voluntary giving and action.

We are an independent, non-religious, non-political, volunteer based organisation. Working alongside individuals, businesses and the community, we provide funding assistance, volunteer time and necessary skills to help local human welfare charities.

Our Mission is to encourage generosity by brokering resources (money, time and skills) between individuals, business and the community.

By pooling individual contributions we maximise funding to ensure that around 200 local charities throughout New Zealand are provided with financial assistance each year. This unique method capitalises on the power of collective effort and saves the donor from the frustration of having to choose which charity to support.

Patron:

His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, The Honourable Anand Satyanand, PCNZM.

Vice Patrons:

Dick Hubbard, Mayor of Auckland City
Kerry Prendergast, Mayor of Wellington City
Garry Moore, Mayor of Christchurch City
Peter Chin , Mayor of Dunedin City
