Payroll / Workplace Giving
Payroll giving is a system for employees to make regular financial contributions to the community from their pay, through their company’s payroll. At least 90c in every $1 gets to the coal face of the recipient charity. Small regular payroll donations, when combined with similar gifts from workmates and employees from other companies, form a significant pool of money for United Way NZ to distribute to needy causes in the community. These donations are tax deductible, 1/3 can be claimed back by the donor. If a third of earning New Zealanders gave only $1 a day, together they would make over $200 million a year available to help charities in their local communities.Alternatively you may wish to arrange a Direct Debit of a monthly, quarterly, six monthly or annual amount. Please download the Direct Debit brochure, fill it in and take it to your bank. Do please send a copy of this completed form to UWNZ national office so that you can receive tax receipts etc.
