United Way New Zealand (UWNZ) and Otago Polytechnic come together every year with the Charity House project which unites, teaches & shares resources in the community. The house is constructed, on-campus, in Dunedin, to maximise learning opportunities for carpentry students, and to give them a chance to contribute to the local community.
The Charity House auction happens every November – and the proceeds distributed to pre-approved Otago charities. The charities are chosen by UWNZ regional volunteers in a tried and transparent process to ensure they best meet the need in the community.
If you would like to sponsor products, services, skills or even establish a charity house in your region, we encourage you to get involved by contact United Way New Zealand in the Sign-up below.
