We help you to help others...

United Way New Zealand occupies a unique space in the corporate citizenship/community investment market.  It is the only charitable agency established to facilitate the exchange of time, money and resource between business and community sector organisations.

Community Investment Consultancy

United Way's ‘plug and play’ community investment consultancy is for businesses wanting a deeper, more strategic engagement with their communities. It opens the door for accessing opportunities to enhance: strategic planning, professional development, staff retention, teambuilding,  communications and customer engagement, while also increasing competitive advantage.

For employers, contracting UWNZ alleviates the ongoing expense associated with resourcing community engagement in-house, augments current programmes and activities, and is an active demonstration of the desire to make a difference by supporting social enterprise.

United Way's impact consultants provide the resources that businesses need to turn good ideas into profitable solutions with a positive social impact.

'Good Business, Beyond Philanthropy' workshops

United Way NZ has teamed up with community investment strategists, Local Works, to deliver consultancy services and 'Good Business, Beyond Philanthropy’ workshops.  These interactive workshops are for businesses and community organisations wanting to better understand how they can work together more effectively and to facilitate the creation of real projects and relationships. The workshops can be customised to business needs and time commitments.

“Business and organisations do not operate in a vacuum. Their relationship to the society and environment in which they operate is a critical factor in their ability to continue to operate effectively. It is also increasingly being used as a measure of their overall performance.”  ‘ISO 26000 – Social Responsibility’
