Horowhenua SuperGrans are on a mission to deliver quality life skill services in collaboration with their community. They offer young people the opportunity to learn a range of skills from cooking and meal planning to knitting and parenting classes.
This year the Horowhenua SuperGrans have embarked on a project which supports and implements safer sleeping options for families with babies. They collaborated with whanau ora groups to create wahakura (sleeping baskets), woven from harakeke (flax).
SuperGrans volunteers created all of the bedding and blankets for each wahakura.
